A hovering, silent craft with blinking colored lights sat over our cabin lake

My mom saw the craft first - she was sitting on our screened-in porch. It was evening, but we could still see the lake from our cabin. She asked me to come see if I could tell what she was looking at. I walked over to her and saw a silent, hovering craft slightly below the tree line. It was blinking red, green, and blue, and we could see the reflection in the water. After a minute or so, it darted back and forth and then zoomed into the sky. Wolves started howling not long after.
