My family experienced a circle of bright light such as a stadium light floating in a circle and then silently zoomed away fast.

The ufo was going around in a circle for about 8 minutes while we questioned what it could be. There is an airport close but it wasn't going in a straight path, it was circling. We don't have a stadium and the night was clear, it couldn't have been a light bright enough to show that high in the sky. After while we said it could be a ufo and then it zipped away without a sound, faster than any human vehicle.
