Saw a bright orange object that turned purple and flew away on the 4th of July I am a thirteen year old from Jacksonville, Florida. I saw my sighting at about 10:15pm Eastern Standard Time. It was the Fourth of July, and I was looking out of my window at some people down the street, who were shooting some firecrackers. They had stopped to refresh their supply, so I looked up into the sky and caught a glimpse of something that glowed super bright. At first I thought it was a star, because of how bright it was and because it was a circular object. The object was bright orange mixed w/ a little red. I stared at it for maybe two minutes and looked at the other stars around it and realized that it was a great deal bigger than the other objects around it. I looked back at the object and saw it had changed colors. I swear to God Almighty the thing was purple when I looked at it again. I stood there in amazement just looking at it, wondering what on God’s green Earth it could be. I looked away for a second or two to find my binoculars, w! hich I usually keep in my room to watch birds and such. I didn’t see them, so I looked back at the object (it had turned back to orange by this point), and it began to move east-northeast towards the beach. It was moving at a very high speed, no doubt faster than an airplane that you would see during the day. It flew for a minute or so and disappeared.
