silver sphere in the skys of palmdale

we were in my brothers back yard cooking hamburgers and i looked up and there it was way up in the sky was this silver sphere. it seemed to be standing still as if it were taking pictures of earth. we looked at it for about 45 seconds when it seemed to catch us looking at it. thats when it shot into space whithin seconds we couldnt see it anymore.
