A bright ball of light came from the south extremely fast, stopped above us, broadcast it's light all around us, then headed north fast

Our property is about 6 miles from the LRAFB. I was at my neighbor's house playing Xbox with a couple mutual friends. At around midnight we decided to call it a night. We walked them to their car and they left. My neighbor and I were standing in his driveway talking before I walked back home. There were no lights on in the house. No lights on the outside of the house..it was pitch black outside.. all of a sudden a light caught my eye from the field towards the airbase. My first thought was a spot light.. but it was moving.. it came across the large field behind the house super fast leaving a trail of light behind it. It stopped above my house.. in between the house and the large pecan tree that's in between our houses. It hovered there about level with the roof of the house. It then broadcast its light in all directions.. lighting up the area bright as day.. it baked everything in white light.. I could see every branch on the tree as if it wrapped light around every branch.. there were no shadows. It covered my neighbor and myself as well in a bright white light.. for about 2 seconds.. I had enough time to look around. It then stopped broadcasting and zoomed away as fast and as silent as it came.. there was no sound.. it was just a ball of light about a meter in diameter.. a few minutes later the sky was full of C-130s from the airbase flying fast and low trying to track it.
