A large, black rectangular box-shaped object in the sky slowly moving eastward, then westward.

I stepped out to have a cigarette. Stood in the covered carport of the 2BR/2BA mobile home which I had shared with a roommate.

It was a beautiful day; clear, sunny, and warm. I was looking eastward when, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed something moving. At first, in the back of my mind, I thought it migght be a bird or a bug. When I turned to see what it was, it was a large, solid black, rectangular-shaped object (similar to a box of chocolates, to best describe its shape).

It slowly glided by in the air, above the treetops, at approx. 5 to 10 mph or thereabouts. I did not hear any sound, because I am deaf. However, I noticed it had no wings, legs, feet, or propellors (like a drone). The bottom of the craft was solid black, the front and sides of it were all solid black, and the back had grid of two rows of LED-type turquoise- or aquamarine- or teal-colored lights which were spaced apart by mere inches. The lights were stationary (did not move or blink). Needless to say, I was not able to see the top of the craft, but it was flat, like its bottom side. There were no doors, windows, markings, etc. The entire object was solid black all around, except for the lights in the back.

It traversed, heading eastward for maybe approx. a quarter-mile or less, then turned left, heading northward and traversed a short distance, then made a 180-degree turn and doubled back, then turned left, heading eastward for a short distance, then stopped, still in mid-air. Next thing I knew, the lights in the back flashed and changed colors (red, yellow, and white, or ornage, yellow, and white, I don't precisely recall). That, right there, reminded me of the colored flashing board in a scene from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." The red/yellow/white or orange/yellow/white flashing lasted for about a minute. Then, it went back to turquoise/acquamarine/teal, then made a 180-degree turn, and headed westward. But, this time, it was a little further south (not by much). When it glided by, heading westward, it wasn't as close when it traversed eastward. The object continued on westward until I could not see it any more (it went past Hwy. 19 and beyond).

My only regret was not running into the house to get my mobile phone to take pics or videos of it. The reason I didn't is because I was afraid that if I went into the house and came back out, the object would be gone.

I mentioned this sighting to others by posting it on my Facebook Timeline with a hand-drawn sketch of it. Several think it may have been a drone. Unfortunately, I deleted the post with the hand-drawn sketch (wish I hadn't).

Also, looked online for reports of UFO sightings and watched the news. To my surprise, there were no reports at all! I'm sure the object was seen by many since it was in a densely popular area with heavy traffic. Yet, no reports of UFO sightings or mention of it anywhere on the news.

Had thought about sending a report back then, but for whatever reason, I didn't. Probably because I didn't want someone to contact me by email or coming to the front door. Now, I don't mind someone contacting me either via email or coming to my front door.

Also, I saw strange lights one night, around 9:00-ish p.m., in June or July in the year 2017, while I lived at a small 1BR/1BA trailer located on BRIAN ST., TAMPA, FL 33614, off W. Hillsborough Ave., corner of N. Macdill Ave., approx. one-quarter mile east from Dale Mabry Hwy.

I stepped out to have a cigarette and sat in a folding picnic chair situated to the right (west) side of the front door. I sat facing north. Out of the corner of my eye, to my right, I noticed some type of activity and turned to see what it was. It took me about a minute or so to realize it was a cluster of small blinking lights within the inside edge of a cloud. In fact, the way those lights blinked reminded me very much of a peripheral vision field test at an optometrist's office. Blinking was slow and gradual, as opposed to fast, like quick-quick. The best way to describe the speed of the blinking is it was slower than the twinkling of the stars in a night sky. Moreover, the blinking lights were almost, sort of, akin to playing peek-a-boo. One light would blink on, then off, then another light near it would blink on, then off, and another adjacent to it would blink on, then off (just like the wall of lights during the peripheral vision field test at the eye doctor's office).

The color of the lights was a dim, soft white, especially since the lights were within the inside edge of the cloud. Approx. distance from where I sat and the cloud was probably 1,000 feet, if I had to take a guess. It was one of those moisture-laden low clouds you commonly see during the summer in Florida. Size of blinking lights was small, almost like fiber-optic lights, especially from that distance.

The blinking lasted about 5 minutes, then that was it. Didn't see any more blinking after that and never saw anything it like again since.
