Enormous craft, broad daylight hovering above my neighbors house

It was the afternoon and I saw, hovering above the house at treetop level just across the street from me. It was about 500ft away

I recall only it was large, bigger than the one story each house across the street.
Dark, metal. I do not recall any lights or openings. It was silent and nothing moved

My mother saw it from the kitchen window and joined me in the driveway
She ran back to get her camera. I do not recall how it went away.

For many years, I always doubted how I could have seen something in such a crowded neighborhood in broad daylight- that there was no way others wouldn’t have seeen it too.

Recently, I saw a program on TV that said there were numerous sightings in my area at this time period. I have checked MUFON and the sightings are all similar to mine but the others were at night.
