On a summer night in 1980 my cousin, sister and myself seen a flying object literally above house across st for about 5 to 8 minutes

It was a night in july when my cousin,sister,and myself seen a diamond shape object across the street above neighbors house. My cousin seen it first out of his bedroom window which faced the st. He called for us we looked also out window and seen it. We then proceeded to all go downstairs and outside. We literally were staring right at it. It was so close to us it was above the neighbor's house hovering there. It had lights that went in different directions on bottom half of craft. It was so eerie because it didn't make a sound.. It also was kind of tilted a little, it was not completely straight up .we watched it hover there for about 5 minutes. Then it just took off so fast and it was gone. We were kids but we tried to call police and tell them. All they did was give us a 800 number. We tried to call it for days but nobody ever picked up. I know this is years later but I was talking to my cousin about it the other day and as with me..he remembers it.like it was yesterday..I only wish more people had seen it because it was by far the weirdest thing I seen in my life.
