Four white lights that disappeared after a few minutes

Four white lights in a perfect straight line formation. Two were closer to each other on each side like this: O O. O O

They stayed in one place for at least 3 minutes and then just disappeared or faded away, it did not even seem to fly away it just vanished.

One of the four observers is a fireman.
