Fireball meteor impacts a car with license plate carrying a message just before NASA begins HRMS project..
A cosmic fireball/meteor split apart into 70+ fragments, one fragment of which impacted the right tail-light of a parked Chevrolet in Peekskill, New York. A 12.4 kg. chondritic meteorite was recovered, exhibited and studied at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC (77th street lobby), along with the car it impacted. 4" x 5" x 11" meteroite impacted and destroyed a 4" x 21" signal-light without damaging the chrome bumper immediately beneath the signal-light.
