Bright red light with no sound that move across the west sky.

Saw bright red light appear over treetops from the southwest. Initialy thought it was fireworks (Roman candle) as it rose into the sky. However, it continued to rise and move from the south to the north about 60 degrees above the west horizon until it move out of sight to the north.
