Glowing white orb floating across sky then stopped. Faded out, then re-lit

6/2/2011 I was floating in the pool at my apartment. It was a little after 9 pm I seen a bright white glowing object fly by then stop and fade out above me. You could still see it but it was a little white dot. It then re-lit and glowed white again still at a stop not moving. Some other people in the pool were yelling out loud "what the hell is that" We were all looking at the same thing in the sky. It zoomed off so fast you could have blinked and missed it. Now a few minutes later it came back it was the non glowing white dot cruising through the sky, then it lit up super bright and zipped away in the opposite direction.
