In a very clear night sky at 22:15 a light grew very bright overhead and then dissapeared

Looking westerly nearly overhead I saw what appeared to be a star grow very bright then dissapear. Did not appear to be a meteor. Almost looked like a star exploding?

I have been watching the sky my entire life as I live on the west coast of florida and never have seen anything like it.
