green line of light seen over halifax for hours

for the past 3 weeks we have seen on cirtain nights a long green shaped line seems very high up we have seen it for the past 2 nights i a row and it stays in the air without movment for hours it geats bigger and smaller in length but it deffinetly somthing strange and unexplained we have seen it with at least 5 or more ppl and have had friends in other areas of halifax who have also seen it please get back to me if u have seen this thanks.
