Single light resembling a star, but moving spuratically downwards and sideways.

This happened about 8-9 years ago and I still remember it clearly.. In the evening, I was out on a playground and I spotted a single light in the evening sky, it looked like a star but it moved spuratically, downwards and sideways. It did not move like an aircraft or falling star, the movements were too spuratic. I called out and pointed to it, and another girl was witness to it as well. After about 8-10 seconds, it vanished.
