UFO was a stationary beam of light that seemed to leave a light trail as it accelerated. At first I didn't really notice it because it blended in with the sky and looked like a distant star or planet.

The light trail retracted as quickly as the acceleration, in a delayed reaction from lft to rght. It traveled horizontaly from left to right in the southwestern sky.

I tried to play it off as a shooting star, but I'm not sure if shooting stars fly horizontally.
