I observed two craft closing rapidly on a commercial airplane over Tomah, Wisconsin

I observed a commercial aircraft on its normal time and pattern from Minneapolis going towards Chicago. Two very fast moving aircraft, possibily military, came up very fast from behind (NW -> SE). The commercial craft did a turn to the south and then back on course and the two fast craft (close together) passed close by and headed almost due east at a continuing high rate of speed. All three aircraft were leaving normal contrails.
