NUFORC Sighting 21989

Occurred: 2002-02-23 21:05 Local
Reported: 2002-02-24 14:51 Pacific
Duration: 15 secs
No of observers: 2

Location: Washington Township, NJ, USA

Shape: Fireball

Most likely a meteor or other type of space program related debris.... but it produced the brightest, most intense blue and green fireball I've ever seen.

More impressive than any single meteor from the '01 Leonid shower.

The object was seen to the southeast and it was moving from east to west.

I'm just wondering if any one else saw this or has any idea what the heck it was.
