No object was seen only a ring of foggy light in the dusk sky.

I could not see an object. Only a ring of light, best described as an orb. It also looked foggy around the light which was strange because it was a clear sky with an orange background from the sunset. At first it looked like it was sitting still below the only cloud in sky. I was driving through my neighborhood so I had to check the road often and every time I looked back up it was in a new location. I’m not a UFO believer, but this has left me with no other explanation. It felt like my mind was playing tricks on me and then it gained altitude vertically and crossed over the cloud and that was the last I seen it.
