2 balls of light came out of one big ball of light

Looking West outside my bedroom window I once seen a light very high in the sky, you can see the clouds moving past it. The object remained still then it moved fast north, south, east, west. It looked like a flame of a candle; not a solid shape. Almost flickering.

Then one ball of light came of the left, then out of the right of the main light. They stopped in their tracks about 50 yards from original ball of light. Then three faint lights came out of those two new lights and danced around. Like a fruit fly.

That incident only happened once, but that main light is always there. If I look closely I can see many more dim lights in and around its’ area. They also move against the wind; up and down quickly. I don’t look up anymore.
