Slowly traveling from west to east with a halo around it. Perfectly clear evening, then just stopped hovered white plume then disappear

Craft was traveling from west to east. Had a halo surrounding it about the size of a pencil’s eraser. Object just came to a complete stop hovered long enough for me to get a picture. A white plume increased around it and then disappeared in an instant.
