Very fast long white light!

This was moving very fast, too fast to be an airplane. Was bright white, almost blinding. Was parallel to ground. It was long and rounded like a cigar would be. It only appeared for 3-6 seconds and vanished. I kept looking in the direction it was traveling to see if I saw it again but nothing. It did not have a trail or tail behind it to indicate a comet or similar. It was approximately 600-800 feet up. The area is wide open so nothing to obscure the sky and what was seen.
