Light traveling from west to east at approximately 3,000 feet and about 300 to 400 MPH.

My family and I live on a small ranch 46 miles as the crow flies north of Dallas, TX. Our children and grandchildren live on our ranch also. We were celebrating January birthdays at our party patio and were wrapping up the party and cleaning up. My wife and I went outside to say goodby to one of our grandsons and son-in-law that were sitting around a fire. There was a beautiful red sunset as the sun had already set below the horizon. The sky was clear and cloudless with stars showing clear and bright. There was a breeze from the South. Some of my family members followed us outside. I almost always look at the sky when outside. While in the Air Force I saw two ufo’s that became one in 1974 that then shot off at incredible speed at Sheppard AFB along with other air force witnesses. Last night I saw another UFO. It looked like an aircraft landing light heading toward us from the West. It was a couple of thousand feet AGL. I see them all the time living north of DFW airport and Dallas Love Field. This light was surrounded by a haze. I call it a haze because I don’t have a word that describes it. I asked my family why that landing light had a haze when no other aircraft in the area did, there were a few aircraft in the air at the time, The haze surrounded the light the entire time it approached us. When I first saw the light it was 30 or 40 miles away. We live on a hill and can see 50 miles or more on a clear day. As the bright light in the center of the haze approached us it would fade out like the aircraft was turning but the haze kept coming toward us then the light would come back on for several seconds then go out again. I’m a retired airline mechanic and familiar with pulsing landing lights that are supposed to conserve light bulb life. The haze would change shape as it approached. When the haze got within 10 miles or so from us my wife made the comment that it looked like an angel. The haze was about 200 to 400 feet in a rough ball/box shape constantly changing its shape with rays coming out. Not like headlights in fog. It was traveling a couple hundred miles an hour. No unusual maneuvers, burst of speed or sudden direction change like what I witnessed in the Air Force. It just kept coming toward us passing slightly to the South over our heads. When the UFO was about halfway through its trip towards us I ran inside and told my family it was a UFO. They burst outside and all 10 of us agreed it was like nothing we had ever seen. As the UFO passed over us it started fading away into two parts, a front half and rear half and then nothing. No sound, no lights, just nothing. I have seen things in the sky that some people insisted was a UFO. I never agreed with them. Last night it was a UFO. We took photos, but late into the event. We thought it was an aircraft landing light so did not begin taking pictures until the event was almost over. Someone in my family may have taken videos toward the end of the event.
