A large glowing white ball or an orb appeared to float across my garden as I was entering my house through a back door.

I was in my garden walking towards my house down the side corridor between my house and the house next door. I opened my french doors out towards me and slightly turned and saw behind me. In this position I have a view of the corridor between both our houses. This finishes where the houses finish and I get a view of part of my garden and sky through the gap between our houses. As I turned to my right a large white circular object (like an orb?) appeared in view from the left of the house next door and floated ? but moved as if it was ( piloted?) driven with an engine? It didn't float like a balloon it moved with intent from left to right. I looked as it came in full view it was awesome a white inner circle with a white outer glow. It glowed like a light, but different. I then turned and called inside to my husband, who was sitting on a chair in front of his computer with his back to me. He didn't hear me on the second or third call he turned around and I quickly tried to explain what I had seen. But he was taking to long to comprehend what I was tellin him. So I turned to see the light was gone. So I ran to the end of my house to where it opens up into my garden with a full view of the back of the houses and gardens in my street looking to the right in the direction of the light. But I saw nothing.
