I saw hovering and moving crafts that affected the headlights of cars driving in the opposite direction on the thruway.

I was in my car driving alone from Westtown, New York to Buffalo, New York to see my parents. It was approximately 6:57-7:00 PM and I was driving on the thruway between Wayland and Cohocton, New York when I looked up into the sky and saw what I at first thought were stars in an odd shaped formation. I kept looking and noticed that the objects were blinking, so I then thought that they were planes until I realized that they were not moving at all. This was not star link, I have seen star link several times. I then noticed that the headlights on a car headed towards me in the opposite direction of the thruway were strobing and flashing out of control like a strobe light. Approximately 8 or 9 vehicles passed by on the the opposite side and their lights were all strobing and then would suddenly dim and fade out, with some of the headlights turning off completely, and some cars having one headlight die completely. The objects were in a slanted line, but moved down and to the right in the sky. The three objects moved uniformly in motion, unlike the trailing motion of starlink, as if they may have been all connected or parts of one whole object. The object then swooped lower to my right and I lost sight.
