We saw a bright light in the sky that looked similar to a star. About 5 times, a smaller "light" would depart from the large light.

At least 5 times, a smaller "light" came from the large light. Each time it would appear to be flying about the speed of an airplane and then all of a sudden it would zoom out of sight at an unreasonable speed. It did the same thing every time and then at the end, the large light did the same. I've carried this story for years. Thought maybe I should document it.

We were kids. I was a senior in high school and the girl and boy with me were college students.
