Colorful sphere changing directions quickly and disappears.

My friend ZH and I were sitting on the lifeguard chair at Woods Pond around 10pm in July 1994, right before I left for college in Montana. We were looking at the sky talking when a green orb shot down the sky with an orange glow around it. It then stopped in the sky, hovered, glowing green and orange. It then shot back up at a 45 degree to the left impossibly fast and disappeared. We both saw it and were completely blown away by what we just saw.
