White stationary, noiseless orb on a clear early summer's afternoon

My partner had been sitting in the garden watching a stationary orb to the East above Stockbridge for 5 minutes. He then called me to look. Whilst having a coffee together we continued to watch for another 15 minutes. Living near Middle Wallop airfield we knew it was NOT a helicopter. My partner has a telescope and felt it was NOT a star/planet/satellite. We both thought it might be looking at Porton Down, to the West. We then went in to put the cups away/visit the bathroom but it had gone when we came back out. I remarked that I'd previously seen something EXACTLY like this in 1994, daylight hours, above the Isle of Sheppey at the mouth of the River Thames, the view point being the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend on Sea, where I grew up. There were 6 witnesses on that occasion. Only reporting this now as there seems more global interest today than in previous years.
