Family observed two bright lights before dusk to the NW. After a while they moved in opposite directions, leaving a trail then disapp

When I was around 12 years old, we noticed these 2 bright lights in close vicinity high in the NW. After some minutes they started moving in different directions. I vaguely recall a train of the light was left from where they started, and eventually disappeared. It was 1963 I believe, and recall it like it was 5 minutes ago. There was a report of the observation by many people in the area in the newspaper the next day. Maybe some people called the police which may have been the source of the report. I don't recall the newspaper at the time. May be Pontiac Press or Oakland Press. I sort of recall the report mentioning Oakland County or Pontiac.

Purpose of writing this is that I have not been able to locate the story on the internet and saw your reports didn't got back that far. Do you have a news story archive?
