Moving quickly from west to east.

I was looking towards the south from my kitchen window to take a picture when I saw one dark and oval shaped object move very quickly from west to east in a straight line. There seemed to be some kind of haze or something around the dark shaped oval. The sighting lasted only seconds as it disappeared behind trees and out of my sight line. It was very close to Elmira Regional Airport in Chemung County, New York State.
