west heading east looked like a pencil shape with solid lights maybe 6 feet apart object seemed a mile away and mile up no sound

Coming from west to east no sound a string of lights looked to be 50 yards long maybe 2000 feet AGL. Im a pilot! Traveling horizontal maybe 80 to 100 knots absolutely no sound 9:45 @ night Hickory airport control tower closes at 9 PM. Or they would have seen it!
