At first I thought it was an airplane but noticed it was hovering in the same area

I watched this sphere shape ball of red and green lights sit stationary for close to 2 hours, the lights would blink randomly and it seemed to dart around slightly at times but always come back to the same spot. It was still there when I went to bed at 3:00 am but was not there the following night
