Multiple streaks changing direction with at times showing a dark craft.

At sunset streaks of light, approx 18, appeared over the Currituck Sound in Duck, NC (Outer Banks). At first we thought they were shooting stars or space debris, but they eventually began changing direction and even going upwards. They appeared to be following the sunset and moving farther away. At one point you could see what looked like a dark “craft” ahead of the “tail”. The “tail” also changed dark red on a couple of them.
