Location details: 8 miles East of Edon Ohio traveled west towards Indiana border.

Object was stationary and parallel with a star for several minutes. Then gained altitude in a linear fashion before moving west.

The object was a bright round object that looked like a star. It was sitting stationary next to an actual star. It was very odd to see two stars of equal lumen parallel with very little space between them. After several minutes the object began to gain altitude in a linear fashion. At about maybe 20 to 30 thousand feet it stopped gaining in elevation and began to traverse west directly over my house slowly accelerating as until it suddenly vanished like a cloak was used.
