No of observers: 1

Location: Fisherville, KY, USA
Location details: 14 miles east of downtown Louisville.

Shape: Triangle

HUGE Triangle, No Lights, No Sound, Lumbering along at 5 to 7 thousand feet on a steady course.

While tracking a satellite heading due South, I noticed what initially appeared to be a large arrow-shaped boulder heading North at approximately 335*. The ambient light from Louisville to the west, and Simpsonville to the northeast clearly helped to distinguish the flying triangle from the dark sky above it. My first thought was, "how in the hell did something this big get so close to Earth undetected." The minute amount of ground light exposed the uneven surface on the bottom of the object making it look like a flat rock, until it passed overhead when I could see that it was a huge craft. It appeared to be flying at the same rate of speed as a jumbo-jet on it's final approach to an airport. It appeared to be charcoal in color with lite tan color where the ambient light was bouncing off of the high peaks on the bottom of the vehicle. As it departed I could vaguely see a row of appendages on the rear end of the craft, making it also look uneven. I lost sight of it as it slowly sank behind a cedar tree in my large rural front yard. Within the hour I reported my experience to a prominent member of Louisville Astronomical Society via email.
