Orange and red light off coast appearing and disappearing separating then seeming like morphing into one after splitting into five

Viewed the sighting off of the coast where I live. It was above the ocean and had multiple lights that branched into several others all in the same area at best I would guess 2 miles apart. They hovered over the ocean and would disappear and then come back to the main
