Man, wife, & son witness very bright obj. in night sky near moon. Obj. reptd. to move "a fist's width across sky." (Planet or star?)

Caller was returning from dinner with his wife and son, when they noticed a very bright object in the sky near the moon's location. At first, he thought it was a planet, but then it appeared to move a significant amount in the sky, and it appeared to start giving off colors, and "little red things started flying out of it."

He called the Lancaster Police department, and they said they would go outside and look at the object.

Peter gave the caller the name of the MUFON SD, Charles Haines, in Somerville, SC.

Probably a planet or a star, despite the witnesses suggestion that the object moved a large distance across the sky.
