Was coming home after getting mother's day gifts when a metallic craft fly's slowly across the horizon

Was coming home after getting gifts for mothers day with my dad when I see a metallic looking craft slowly go across the sky then it vanished.

I have no idea if this was mirage. But that day didn't feel warm enough to produce any of those effects coming off the road. It couldn't be that high if it was mirage.
