Triangle shaped lights flying through the sky

I was on highway 75 going north bound getting very close to the airport when I saw through the clouds bright lights in the shape of a triangle. The lights flashed 3 times and it appeared to be coming in for a landing. I've never seen a plane like this and I travel this highway often.
