Black figure-8 shaped ribbon rises higher in western sky until out of sight.

Flat, ribbon-like shape. Approximately 12'X8'. Black figure-8 shape in the western sky, heading north-west, twisting, turning, and flipping, moving upwards until it was too high to see with naked eye. Black ribbon estimated to be 3' in width. Held its flat (and horizontal) figure-8 shape the entire time, flipping on its back and then turning over again multiple times. The front loop of the figure-8 was a bit larger than the rear loop, consistently. ...Never seen anything like this before. Very strange.
