Bright light in the sky stops and takes off in the other direction

It was a clear night. My wife and i were driving home. We pulled off exit 32 onto I-90 and noticed what looked like a bright bluish white light it looked like a shooting star it left a small trail behind it.

All of the sudden, it stopped and bolted off in the other direction it moved so fast it was gone in an instant
