Characteristics: Aura or haze around object, Left a trail

Blue light with trail appeared, moved, the disappeared.

Light appeared to the west of town. Appeared blue in the center with a white aura around it also had a "tail" like thing hanging from the back. No audible noises, would have called it a "shooting star" except it changed directions and moved forward and away. There one second and then completely gone the next with no signs it had even been there.
