I saw an unidentifiable object low in the sky with sparks or fire coming from its rear.

I saw a bright object with sparks coming out of the rear. It was low in the sky. I thought maybe a meteor but it was unlike other meteors I have seen, as it was so low, and the tail was short.

I rolled down the window of my vehicle thinking I may hear the sound of an impact. I did not.
