An oval-shaped object red and pink hovered for approximately 2 minutes then began traveling NE and slowly upward at the same time.

We pulled over when we couldn't see any FAA lights on the object and watched as it continued upward, then completely disappeared.

We continued to sit there, waiting to see if it merely disappeared behind clouds. We waited approximately 5 minutes then left.
