Larger Saucer Red, White, and Gold Lights Over Puget Sound Des Moines.

My father went on the back deck and was looking at the stars over Puget Sound, between Saltwater State Park and Maury Island. We are on a hill.

The dogs in our neighborhood were barking very erratically which kind of freaked him out. He saw a large saucer shaped object (approximating) 3 miles away, 1,000 feet in elevation, 75 yards wide, 30 feet tall. It was hovering over the water.

It had a very brilliant bright stream of red, white, and gold lights in a line around the rim of it and faint light coming from the top.

He yelled for us to come outside and my brother came out first. It vanished as my dad was yelling for us to come out.

My brother did not see it when he came outside.

About 10 seconds later it appeared before their eyes. Seemingly materializing out of thin air. The rest of us came out and observed the object hovering over the watering looking as though it was rotating. It hovered for about a minute and a half.

All of a sudden the right side tilted upward at about a 30 degree angle, and slowly flew to the left, still maintaining that angle, then sped up and disappeared behind the trees.

I tried to record it on my phone but it wouldn't focus and the craft would not show up on my screen even though I was pointing my phone directly at it.

The observers were My Father ((forties)); My Mother ((forties)); Myself, Their Daughter ((twenties))); My Brother ((teens)); My Boyfriend ((twenties)), My son ((youngster)).
