the light turn sharply south and climbed at 10:00 direction and disappeared.

I was sitting on my back porch. Off to the south western direction in the dark a bright light appeared. At first I thought it might have been a passenger plane was coming in. But the light disappeared. A couple weeks ago about the same time I watching a passenger plane approaching the runaway. All at once a light apparently started following.
