Flashing Strobs in the sky, not a helicopter.

Was out having a smoke looked to my right and saw some lights in the tree line First thought was it was a helicopter because of the airport that's close by but i then crossed the street to get a better look and then it drifted the opposite way it came and then disappeared mid air.
