Slow moving flame, 700-1000 feet away.

We were driving to our daughter's house in Franklin, TN, when we saw what looked like a flame in the sky, too low to the ground to be an aircraft. It was moving too slowly to be an aircraft, but it appeared to be 700-1000 feet from where we were. We pulled over and watched it for a few moments and it slowly moved on and disappeared.
