Characteristics: Lights on object

low altitude red glowing sphere, 500 feet overhead. traveling from west to east at a rate of speed over 100mph. No engine noise. Clear night sky with little to no wind. Watched sphere travel out over the ocean without a change in altitude or direction until it was no longer able to be seen.
