lights looked like constellation of stars, turned into 7 orange lights trailing

Driving in car,it became foggy as I drove closer nwar my subdivision, looked up in the sky, at first I thought it was a bright constellation of stars, then I saw a ror trail of orange lights, in a slight circle.
